Leadership

Chris Williams, Associate Pastor, was Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor at a Covenant church in Escalon, California before coming to Deerbrook. Chris also served for two years as a short-term missionary in Mexico and as a youth pastor intern at a Covenant church in Colorado. He is a graduate of North Park University and North Park Seminary in Chicago, Illinois.

Patricia Green, Children's Director, spends full-time directing the children’s ministry and loves working with children and their parents. Patricia had extensive experience working with children’s programs in another church before joining our staff.

Clif Thurmond, Worship Coordinator, is responsible for the music portion of our regular worship services. This is a part-time position. Clif is Director of Bands at Lee's Summit West High School.

Preston LaFollette, Youth Director, leads our program for 7th through 12th grade youth.  Preston is a recent graduate of Southwest Baptist University.

Office Staff

Emily Aadland, Office manager, Emily serves the church part-time working with volunteers and managing the day-to-day administration of the church. Emily is in the office from 9 to 5 Monday through Thursday.

Jim Koltveit, Operations Director, oversees the day-to-day administrative operations on a part-time volunteer basis.

Deacon Council

Deerbrook Covenant Church operates with a congregational form of government.  Deacons are elected by the congregation to serve three year terms. The Council deals with administrative and legal matters. Council members meet monthly.

Elder Board

The Elder Board is charged with directing the spiritual values and vision of the church.
